BMJ
This article appeared in the British Medical Journal in 1999. It gives a balanced view of the efficacy of Hypnotherapy, and rightly points out the necessity for the public to seek help only from practitioners with qualifications recognised by the UKCP, the BACP or the General Medical Council.

BBCi Health 2
Further examples of the use of hypnotherapy for Irritable Bowel Syndrome.

BBCi Health 3
A recent article extolling the benefits of hypnosis for hayfever sufferers. The evidence may be equivocal, but I have personal experience that hypnosis can work for hayfever.

Daily Telegraph
Daily Telegraph corespondent Sally Appleton writes, "The use of hypnotism to treat medical problems is increasing, but how it works still baffles scientists." (Please note, you will be directed to the Daily Telegraph's homepage where you will need to register, free, before being able to access this page).
